Roles and responsibilities
IMPBs represent connected communities who are best placed to understand the needs of whānau, hapū and iwi in their respective regions, to a future of pae ora (good health).
They play a crucial role in advancing their tino rangatiratanga aspirations that ensure the health needs and priorities of Māori communities are met. It is the work that happens within their respective regions that will make a difference.

Strategic Plan 1 July 2025 - 30 June 2030
Our Toitū Te Ora Strategic Plan for 2025-2030 marks the first five-year phase of our broader 2025-2050 vision. This plan is both aspirational and dynamic, building on the strategic groundwork laid in 2022.
Guided by our tipuna Maui, we are steadfast in our commitment to fostering a vibrant Tairāwhiti, nurturing a flourishing environment, and ensuring the holistic health of our people.
Our strategic goals are aligned and, like Maui, we are prepared to adjust our sails to navigate the inevitable strategic changes that may arise.
